Summary for Csat 2004

China Satellite Conference is undoubtedly recognized by local andinternational vendors and end users as the satellite event not to bemissed. With an increased of about 50% more sponsors/exhibitors, 36%more delegates participated this year, it stays as the most popular and influential conference in China. It acts as a significant bridge for opposite parties with common interest to communicate.

Audiences were attentively collecting abundant of information from industry experts throughout the 3-day conference and sponsors/exhibitors busied showcasing their products and services to the special interest group.

International organizations such as APSCC and Global VSAT Forum have continuously supporting the event. Companies like ViaSat, Hughes Network Systems, Gilat Satellite Communications, ND Satcom, iDirect, Patriot, Inmarsat, Comtech E.F. Data, Loral Skynet and Advantech, Advanced Microwave Techologies were major sponsors of the conference and a few of these companies participated for the first time.

Conference organizers made arrangements for the media to interview key government officials, local and foreign speakers, and also made special efforts for sponsors and exhibitors to get as much media coverage as possible. Internal meetings for sponsors to meet government officials were also being set-up. Daily newsletters were published to keep audiences updated.

At the end of the conference, a 45-minute round-table session with government officials, invited vendors and industry experts, followed by questions & answers session with the audiences. The session was moderated by the conference chairman, Professor Yang Qianli.

The conference concluded with smiling faces all around.
